YCWF July 2011 Newsletter

The Y-City Writers at the Y Bridge Arts Festival


Friday, August 5, 2011, 6 pm to 9 pm and Saturday, August 6, 2011, 10 am to 9 pm. We'll have a book tent both days.

Saturday, August 6, 10:15 am. The Y-City Writers will be reading the Destination Ohio Stories. Books will be available for purchase.


Future Events:
Every Tuesday at 11:30 AM –Write-ins at Sojourner’s on Brandywine this month.

July 21- Reading at the Carr Center, 10 AM on Beverly Ave. (This Thursday)
July 28- Open Mic at 7 PM at Weaselboy Brewing Company on Muskingum Ave.
August 2-YCWF meeting Author Stephen Hines will speak. Stephen wrote Hocus Focus an fantasy children’s novel, he write graphic novels and owns his own publishing imprint. http://stephenhines.org/
August 5- Art Festival (The Y-City Writers have a floating tent. Let Rita know if you want a space to sell your books for the 2 day event.)
August 6- Art Festival - Destination Ohio readings at 10:15 AM- 11:00 AM.

From Pen & Quill -Please begin thinking of writing and gathering stories, poems and artwork for Musings V, to be published in time for Art Walk, 2012. Theme: Food, and more specifically: Culture and Heritage of Country Culinary Delicacies and Delights.
P&Q's goal will be to solicit and compose stories, poems, and art enough to fill a 150-page book.
Don’t forget the Theme is Pottery Writing Contest. Deadline: August 31, 2011. Drop off at the Pottery Museum. (The Ohio Ceramic Center is located at 7327 Ceramic Road NE (County Road 96) at State Route 93, between Roseville and Crooksville in Perry County)
