As many indy authors know, you sell more books when you promote yourself. The same is true for authors of the big publishing house too! This includes doing speaking engagements and booksignings.
The Y-City Writers have two such events coming up in our area.
October 8, 2011 Y-City Writers Conference • Coburn United Methodist • 3618 N. Maple Ave. • Zanesville, Ohio 43701 • If you attend the conference, we have tables set up for you to sell your work. • Cost: $30 (non-members) and $15 (members & students)
December 10, 2011 Holiday Book Fair • 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. • Colony Square Mall • 3575 Maple Avenue, Zanesville, Ohio • Cost: $20.00 for a ½ table or $35.00 for a full table, which covers space, advertising, and insurance. • Contact Summer Clark • summerc@columbus.rr.com
Also, don't forget to bring your books along to the Open Mics. After hearing your stories people might want a copy of your work.
